Elegimos regresar a Tulum para crear esta vez un refugio vacacional. Un árbol de zapote al frente del terreno nos cautivó desde el primer momento y se convirtió en el protagonista, dándole nombre a la villa.
Las dimensiones más compactas del terreno nos llevaron a desarrollar la casa en tres niveles, culminando en una azotea con pérgola y jacuzzi, abierta a los amaneceres, atardeceres y la selva circundante. Péneles solares suman ahora a la eficiencia energética.
El chukum envuelve interiores y exteriores en una paleta natural y serena, contrastada por acentos de piedra laja rosa, grandes lámparas de macramé negro, y tragaluces, ya característicos de nuestros diseños. Sobre la distribución original de Casa Palma 5, incorporamos mejoras que elevan el confort, como un baño completo en planta baja, con ducha abierta a un patio interior, y una ducha independiente junto a la bañera de la suite principal.

We returned to Tulum to create a vacation retreat this time. A beautiful sapodilla tree at the front of the property captivated us from the start, becoming the heart of the project and giving the villa its name.
The more compact plot led us to design a three-level home, crowned by a rooftop terrace with a pergola and jacuzzi, open to the surrounding jungle and the beauty of sunrise and sunset. Solar panels further enhance the home’s energy efficiency.
Chukum finishes envelop the interiors and exteriors in a natural, soothing palette, contrasted by accents of pink flagstone, oversized black macramé pendant lights, and skylights—a signature feature of our designs. Building on Casa Palma 5’s original layout, we introduced thoughtful upgrades for greater comfort, including a full bathroom on the ground floor with a shower opening onto an interior garden patio, and a separate shower alongside the bathtub in the primary suite.
